With my kids all living in faraway places, it's tough to get together with them too, which I also hope to do more of later. As for now though I'm still a pretty boring guy happy with the simple things.
Here in Montana, there has been a lot of objection to the idea of plant-based proteins because it isn't the real deal. But, there's a new plant-based program in Europe that could very well be integrated in the States soon.
With 7.16 people per square mile, Montana DOES have more cows than people. Farming and ranching is still incredibly important across the entire state. (We've got 2.51 cattle per person, BTW.)
Everything that goes into a cow is plant-based. Hay, grain, grass etc. all plant-based. So sink your teeth into a good quality piece of Montana beef and do your testbeds and your own state's economy a favor.
Beef-a-what? With fewer calories, less fat, and 1/3 the cholesterol of traditional beef, Beefalo is expected to become a popular option for health-conscious meat lovers.
I am constantly preaching every day in the early morning for people to keep their heads up, and keep fighting, it's all worth it. Sometimes I question that myself. I'm struggling but I'm fighting.
This is my second wedding in eight months as Maddy got married last October. So trying to get some of these things done at the ranch have only added to the busyness of the week.
Both are far from what I do for a living too, but there is one common bond that holds us together -- my daughters also -- and that would be the life we knew on the ranch.
Have you ever driven a 4-wheeler at its top speed in sagebrush chasing cows? Good news, cowboy. He'll teach you to throw caution to the wind when getting to those gates first.
Our topic for Weird Wednesday this week was "Things that married couples shouldn't do together". And by far, the top two were towing vehicles with each other and backing up trailers. Working cows together was third.
I didn't golf this week...
