The John Denver Sanctuary

My Memorial Day weekend trip took me to everything that I could find that involved John Denver.

In Aspen, just off the main drag, is the John Denver Sanctuary. It's a beautiful little park with some stones to sit on. It also has about a dozen stones with lyrics of his songs cut into them."Rocky Mountain High". "Sunshine On My Shoulders", "Perhaps Love", and of course "Annie's Song".

But of all the songs that could've been used, they chose to have the first rock you see etched with "Autograph."

"Say a prayer and open your heart again. You are the love and the light we all need to see."

Very therapeutic.
