Things Are Rosy in My Rose Colored Glasses

Do you have a favorite singer?  If you're like me, you have more than one.

I was lucky enough on Friday night to get to see one of my all time favorite country stars live.

The Billings Police Protective Association sponsored John Conlee in concert at the Shrine.

I have been a huge fan of John Conlee's music since I was in my late teens.

As a matter of fact, he was the first ever country star I met and got to interview in the mid 80's in Glasgow, Montana for KLTZ Radio.

I remember it like it was yesterday, I had just started my Radio career and W.I.F.E. (Women In Farm Economics) brought him in as a fund raiser.

I have always love his music and his voice.

He may be getting older (aren't we all right?), but man can he still belt them out.

It was a great mix of his older hits and some new stuff and some Gospel (which I thought was fantastic)

After the show he hung around and met and talked to everyone who wanted to meet him, get an autograph and snap a picture.

If you ever get a chance to see him live, do it.

I have always thought that performers are so much better in person and I've always appreciated their music that much more.
