Billings Lovers, Show Off Your Sense of Humor: Propose in These 5 Locales
In 2021, there were over 7,500 weddings that took place in Montana, and I get it. We have some picturesque views of mountains and landscapes that anybody would love to have in the background of their wedding photos. If you're wanting to get married, you've got to propose, right? But, where do you propose? The location of your first date? Perhaps the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris? They don't hold a candle to these hilarious places in Billings.
The Middle of the Yellowstone River
Why not, right? Oftentimes, you'll see the water level in the Yellowstone River is low, and there are some islands you can access by walking if it's low enough. Take your bride-to-be out on one of those islands and propose; she may be really confused, but it's a funny one to be sure.
The Romantic 6th Street Underpass
That's right, you get quite the view of, well, concrete here at the 6th Street Underpass by Central Avenue. This would bother any fiance, but it would get quite the laugh depending on her sense of humor.
The Ferris Wheel at Scheels
This one seems actually doable. Ferris wheels are commonly used as proposal points, just Google them and you'll find that many have tried it. Of course, those Ferris wheels were at carnivals, or at the Santa Monica Pier. But, you'll be a bit more romantic by proposing here than at the last entry, that's for sure.
On The Dance Floor at Daisy Duke's
It actually doesn't seem too farfetched; proposing on the dance floor at a popular dance club in front of a crowd of people. However, when you consider exactly how many people are in this bar on a Friday or Saturday night, you may want to reconsider. Still, if you want to for a bit of humor, I'm sure the folks there will cheer loudly for you and your new partner for life.
The Sugar Beet Factory
We all know that the smell that emanates from the sugar beet factory is quite atrocious. You'd think it would smell like sugar, but nope. But, wouldn't it be funny if you proposed in front of the massive smokestacks and that smell in the background? No? Well, I think it would be at least.
All jokes aside, we really do appreciate all the love that new couples have for the beautiful state. If you have a good head on your shoulders, you really shouldn't be taking my advice here. You'll likely get rejected. And, I wouldn't want that.
