Another 4″ Of Snow Possible For Billings By Tuesday (10/29)
With another round of snow, and up to 30mph wind gusts expected, a Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for Yellowstone County at 9am MDT on Monday (10/28) through 6am Tuesday (10/29) morning. The Advisory also covers Northern Stillwater and Northern Sweet Grass county.
According to the National Weather Service, the snow should arrive in Billings mid to late morning on Monday, making the afternoon commute hazardous. Slushy roads will re-freeze, with the coldest air of the season moving in. Lows are expected to be in the single digits on Monday and Tuesday night.
The N.W.S. issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Red Lodge and Beartooth Foothills from 9am Monday (10/28) through 12noon MDT on Tuesday (10/29). Up to 9 inches of snow accumulation is possible in the Warning area by tomorrow (Tuesday).
Snowfall totals from this past weekend (10/26-10/27) are in. Molt was the high mark in Yellowstone County with 5 inches of snow. Red Lodge got 16.5 inches, and just over 10 inches fell in Livingston.
