Everything you need to know about Alive After Five.
If you're new to Billings, Alive After Five is a series of midweek outdoor concerts, held Thursday evenings from 5 to 8 pm. The street(s) in front of the host locations are blocked off at this time, a mobile stage is set up at one end of the street, and hundreds of people come to enjoy the free concerts.
Alive After 5 is presented by Downtown Billings’ Business Improvement District (BID) and Western Security Bank. The concerts are free, but if you're over 21 and would like to enjoy an alcoholic beverage, you'll need to purchase a $3 wristband.
Can I bring my kids to Alive After Five?
Yes, people do bring children. Keep in mind that many adults at the event are consuming alcohol, so if your parenting style doesn't mesh with your kid being potentially exposed to adult language or drunken behavior, plan accordingly.

Can I bring my dog to Alive After Five?
Sorry, dog lovers. Per City Code Chapter 4, article 4, section 4-407, pets like dogs, cats, bunnies, etc. are not permitted at public events such as the Strawberry Festival or Alive After Five.
Limited VIP spots are available at Alive After Five.
Sometimes (okay, most of the time) it can get pretty warm on the pavement at Alive After Five. If you'd like a guaranteed spot with shade, a limited number of $10 VIP wristbands are available for each week.
VIPs get access to a tent, chairs, ice-cold water, and a prime seating area near the stage. For VIP, contact the DBA office at (406) 294-5060.
