This week's featured adoptable dog is a very handsome fella named Quilliam. Kind of like William, but with a Q. He acquired that name from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, because he arrived at the shelter with a face full of porcupine quills.

Quilliam was a stray who was found running around the area with another dog pal. He's a two-year-old Husky mix, and he's ready for his forever home. This dog is friendly and smart, with gorgeous light blue eyes and classic Husky markings.

Huskies are typically affectionate dogs and do well with other dogs and children. They can be passionate about chasing small critters like rabbits or squirrels, so a fenced yard is probably best for Quilliam.

This pup would thrive with plenty of attention and activities to keep him busy. The American Kennel Club notes that Siberian Huskies are "naturally clean, with little doggy odor", a bonus.

Lindsay Dilllon, Volunteer Coordinator at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, told us that Quilliam loves riding in the car, and his strikingly good looks received several "thumbs up" from other commuters on his ride to our studios today. We can't imagine Quilliam will have to wait very long to get adopted.
