Billings Woman Cycling 200 Miles For Child Cancer Research

More than 150,000 riders from all 50 states have raised over $16 million for Children's Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) since the Great Cycle Challenge USA began in 2015.

Billings resident Cynthia Loftus will be participating in her fourth Great Cycle Challenge this year. Over those years, Loftus says she "rode 444 miles and raised $1,467.76. This year, I am aiming to raise $750 and ride 200 miles."

Over 15,000 American children are diagnosed with cancer every year and, sadly, 38 children die every week. CCRF hopes more than 50,000 riders will help raise $8.2 million from this years Challenge, which has grown to become one of the biggest cycling events in the country.
