Does Humor Make Things Better?

Have you ever had a master plan to surprise a loved one with flowers for their birthday or a special occasion and it didn't work out? That's what happened in the office a few days ago. One of our Sales Reps Mya had a birthday and her husband Jeff wanted to surprise her with a huge bouquet of flowers. He would have been the hero of the day, but the flowers didn't get delivered on the right day. Of course he's not happy about it and calls to find out what happened, after apologizing for their mistake, they did deliver the flowers, though a day late, with a note. I think the note is hysterical. The fact that they tried to put a little humor in the note and take the blame fully is pretty cool. Do you think adding some humor to your apology is good?
