Friday Fragments: Events, Sandwiches, & Michelle’s 56th Birthday
Try to be the parent you needed when you were a kid. I do.
The second original member of The Eagles has passed. Randy Meisner has died at 77.
"Jeepin" For A Reason" happens Sunday Morning. If you have a Jeep you're invited. The parade leaves the old heights K-Mart at 11 a.m. Sunday Morning. It's a fundraiser for Tumbleweed. They take care of homeless teens. And right now their pantry is extremely low on food.
Please vote for "Witness" for the NBA 2K All-Star Game, You can vote once per day.
I've heard nothing but great things about both Off Main Deli and Lisa's Sandwich Den.
I don't recall getting to vote on whether or not they were going to make the entire top of the rims into walking trails. I miss parking at the end and looking down at the lights of the fair rides.
And today would have been my little sister, Michelle's 56th birthday. I always tell people not to feel sad for me. I feel sad for anyone who never met her. She was a true force of nature. She bounced back and forth between radio and waitressing most of her adult life. Many times when she was waiting on a customer, she'd just sit right down at their table and try to help them with her problems.
I miss her the most at Christmas. There's not a relationship like the one between siblings. So, today I'll raise a toast to her.
