Doing Without

I am as spoiled as anybody that I know. We have just about every luxury one can possibly imagine.

But, while loading the dishwasher yesterday, our 11 year olds jaw hit the floor when I told her that when I was a kid, we never had a dishwasher. "NO. WAY!" "Way."  Said I.

WE also didn't get a microwave oven until I was in high school. "NO. WAY!".

I know.
