Saying Goodbye To Mom

It's good to be back friends, especially under the circumstances. I have been dealing with the passing of my mother for the past week and a half.

I lost my mother to dementia on Thursday, February 2nd which has been very hard for me, but is a very good thing for her.

Spending time with my brothers and sister in the town where I grew up was a much needed medicine. I am the youngest of 6 and I guess you could say that I have always been a mama's boy. She was always very special to me and losing her to this horrible disease has left me lost in so many ways.

466 miles, 7-8 hours each way allowed for a lot of thinking and remembering which was really good. I took my 2 older boys with me which was awesome. We sang a lot...and are very thankful that we weren't caught on camera with that.

I got back Saturday afternoon and it's time to get this show back on the road. My mama will always hold a very special place in my heart and I will miss her dearly.
