So Long, Sears

Sears announced the closing of the Billings store. Sad, but not surprising. Commerce is different now. You can get just about anything delivered to your front door.

In my lifetime, our family has purchased everything from record albums to bikes to rifles at Sears.

I remember getting the Sears catalog and mom spending hours going through it.

I also remember walking downtown in Great Falls with my buddies and heading over to Sears because they had one of the only escalators in town.

Another one gone.
