If you don't like puppies, we can't be friends. Just kidding. But seriously, who doesn't love an adorable puppy? They can make the crusties curmudgeons heart melt. Our featured Wet Nose Wednesday pet is named Sasha, and this cutie is absolutely adorable.

Sasha is one of the puppies from momma dog Mary, who we featured on Wet Nose Wednesday several weeks ago. Mary was adopted, as were the rest of her pups. Sasha was adopted, too, but she came back to Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter because the folks who adopted her decided they weren't quite up for the challenges of a puppy.

It happens (no hard feelings), but serves as a good reminder that getting a puppy is typically a lot of work and responsibility. Keep this in mind when your kids are begging you for a pup. 😉

Sasha is 13 weeks old and is a Kelpie mix.

Mom was a compact, medium-sized dog, but your guess is as good as ours regarding daddy dogs genetics. Sasha is small now, but we suspect she'll grow into her large paws. Perhaps there's a Bully mix somewhere in her ancestry.

Participate in Pet Roulette at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter.

This annual fundraiser is so much fun. You pay $20 and submit a photo of your pet. Then, a local artist creates a portrait of your beloved dog, cat, rabbit, chinchilla, whatever.

The "roulette" angle is that you might score a very talented artist, or... You might get one that looks like it was drawn by a 3rd grader. How fun is that? The promotion begins soon; watch the YVAS website or social media channels for updates.
