Flakesgiving 2017 Information

Flakesgiving has become a tradition in Billings.  Each year, Mark and Paul bring together members of our community to help friends and neighbors enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.  For more than two decades, Flakesgiving has fed thousands of families, and none of it would be possible without the generous support from people like you.

If you need a meal this year and are unable to come to the Metra, please call Christina at 406-248-7827 and she'll arrange to have one of our volunteers deliver your meal.

If you've never been part of Flakesgiving, make this a new tradition for your family starting this year.  Here's all the information you need:

Volunteer information

Friday 11/17/17  10am sharp Meal assembly:  We will put together over 1,500 boxes of food.  Each box of food will feed 7-10 people.  Many hands make light work. Plan on up to 2 hours but usually we get done even quicker.

Saturday 11/18/17 10am sharp  Deliveries:  Need delivery drivers. Delivery driver meeting is at 10:15am and deliveries go out after that!

Saturday 11/18/17 12pm NOON Pick up a meal:  If you would like to come by and pick up a meal please plan to be at the Metra at 12:00pm sharp. Anyone is welcome to a meal, no questions asked, but it is first come – first served.

We also need volunteers to help carry meals to cars for those picking them up.

All meals go out Saturday.

Thank you to the hundreds of people who help out every year through their labors and monetary donations.  Mark and Paul made the commitment to serve our local communities when they first hit the airwaves almost thirty years ago and Flakesgiving is a great reminder of what "community service" really means.
