Flakesgiving Boxes Will Feed More Than 12,000 This Year

Almost 100 volunteers lined up in their vehicles on the snow covered MetraPark lot Saturday morning to pick up Flakesgiving boxes that would be delivered to needy families from Billings to Roundup.

Each box included a 10-12lb. turkey, potatoes, stuffing, rolls and more that will feed 7-10 people.

While almost 500 boxes headed out for delivery, over 1000 individuals showed up to personally receive their gift from Mark & Paul starting at 12 noon.

Friends and family of The Breakfast Flakes and Cat Country 102.9 helped with the hand out while local high school baseball teams carried the boxes to the vehicles of those needing assistance.

Every year we get a couple folks with a tear in their eye and pretty shook up who tell us, if it wasn't for this event they wouldn't be able to have a Thanksgiving meal this year.
