Where have the last 30 years gone?  What's that saying? "Don't blink or you'll miss it"  That certainly rings true today as Cat Country Celebrates our 30th year of being on the air.

There are so many memories from working here at Cat Country, some great and some not so great.

Here are some of the great things I've loved about being here and some of the sad things.

1:  Signing on a brand new radio signal and watching and helping to make it what it is today, a country powerhouse in the market and the state.

2:  Forging so many friendships through the years, many that I still keep in touch with and hang out with.

3:  Helping to host some pretty amazing promotions/events, like Camp Garth, The St. Jude Radiothon, Baconfest, Call for Kids Radiothon, Pub Golf, Bike Nights and Flakes-giving

4: Meeting some of the music industries greatest artists, like, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Clay Walker, Sugarland, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Bobby Bare, Restless Heart, Alabama and the legendary Ray Price. (that's just a handful of the great artists I've been lucky enough to meet)

5: Meeting some other great music artists and news makers, like, Gean Simmons of KISS, Alice Cooper & Rob Zombie.  Louie Anderson, Emmitt Smith, Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger and Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North.

There have been some very sad times too, like when our first General Manager Keith Tilkens passed away the year after we signed on.  Also the loss of our longtime Production Director and good friend John Thomas a couple of years ago.

There have been so many great people (and some not so great) that have passed through these doors and our lives both on the air and off.  Here's a list of those I can remember (it's lengthy)

General Managers; Keith Tilkens, Paul VanEllis, Tom Caulkins, Ann Berg, Dennis Coffman, Cheryl Salomone, Jerry Butler, Scot Lindahl and Don Oylear.

On air: Jim Diamond, Henry Keith Todd, Jeff Howell, Matt Brubaker, Jay Newell, Pat Metzger, Bruce Jensen, John Thomas, Jeff Womack, Tommy Braaten, Ed McIntosh,  Brett McCrummen (aka Dave Roberts) and Downtown Roy Brown.

In the Sales Department/Support Staff:  Susy Paddock, Sue Robison, Monica Kordonowy, Karen Black, Dennis Reno, Linda Tilkens, Linda Simonson, Clark Fletcher, Scott Hofferber, Marilyn Fake, Gayle Smith, Marcia Moss, John Bolta, Doug Hagen, Lonnie Bell, Marty Harmala, Tara Hubbard, Donna Miller, Sandy Smollack, Jessica Clampitt, Kim Williams and many many more.

It would truly take me 30 years to list everyone that has passed through here and touched our lives.

My apologize to those I didn't list.

Thanks for listening to Cat Country all these years and being our trusted friends.
