Ah the week of Thanksgiving. The time we stuff and stuff, then we stuff a little more on that traditional bird of our ancestors. Between that and the green bean casserole, rolls, mash taters and pie, life doesn't get much better than what this week has to offer.

There has been a debate in my house for the past few years on whether we should bake or deep fry our turkey. I love the deep fry idea but my wife prefers having her traditional baked turkey. Guess who wins every year? Yep, not me.

From what I have heard, it's more of a guy thing to deep fry the turkey which would make sense to me. If I deep fried the turkey, it would take my wife's thunder away and we just can't have that.

It's not that I haven't ever had the fried side of turkey though. In the past it's been like a bad drug deal with my neighbor meeting me down the street. "You got the stuff?" I asked. "Yep. You got the roll?" lol! Seriously, I've gone to great lengths to have it my way. Not knowing my neighbors extremely well yet, is kind of putting a blockage in my turkey plans this year though. I must find a fryer, somewhere, somehow.

So what do you do with your turkey? Is it baked or fried? Does it really matter how it's cooked to you?

I love a caller so give me holler. Tell me your story at 406-248-5665.

If you're looking to try the fry but are not sure how, the video below will show you.
