Join Us for the Run for Health: 5K and Kid’s Run September 12
If you need some motivation to get some exercise in your life, here is a great one: The health and well-being of others.
RiverStone Health's Run For Health happens Saturday, Sept. 12. This is the second annual event which benefits the RiverStone Health Foundation. The Foundation's purpose is to raise money and advocate for a patients ranging from newborns to the elderly, recognizing that all deserve access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial situation.
If running a 5k isn't something you feel confident you can achieve, you are more than welcome to walk in this event. “You don’t have to run, we have a category for walkers, too. The point is to get outside and get moving," said Kelly Schrock, the RiverStone Health Foundation development coordinator.
The event is sponsored by Cat Country 102.9, which is owned by Townsquare Media.
“The Run for Health 5K is a wonderful community event that focuses on getting out and moving, said Adella Sutton, director of sales for Townsquare Media Billings. "I love the fact that it is a run geared toward feeling good about your life and your body. The end result is better health for yourself while you benefit families in our community.'
The run will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, and will be followed by a free kid's walk at 10 a.m.
“The free kids run is such a great part of the day," Schrock said. "The kids have a great time, they get out and run and see the importance of exercise plus, they all love getting prizes at the end.”
