No More Free Rides

The Billings city budget for next year has a projected budget deficit of $18 million. It's time for people who use all the city has to offer, in particular the library, to step up and start paying. One dollar, is that to much to ask? We charge for city parking,city rec-leagues, city bus rides, city pools, why not the library? If you can't pay, you can make payments of 25 cents per week. Anything to help offset their 3.5 million dollar operating budget would be great. The days of everything for free are over. We have to get our fiscal house in order.
