One Stupid Hit and Run in Billings [Opinion]

Hit and runs are some of the most ridiculous things a person can do. My wife had this happen to her when we lived in Memphis and they never found the person that hit her. Quite frustrating considering my insurance company and I had to pay for all of the repairs.

When I wrapped up work on Saturday I went to Walmart in the Heights to grab some formula for the baby. When I go into the parking lot I noticed a couple of Billings Police cars around a vehicle. Honestly, this is not that uncommon.

I parked and took a look to see what was going on. Yes, I am one of those curious people. I saw a car that had obviously been hit in a bad way.

I went on my way then wrapped up my evening at home.

When I got up Sunday morning I noticed this post on the Billings Reckless Drivers group page on Facebook.

Turns out the jerk who his this car took off...but they left something very important behind. This guy left his vehicle bumper with his license plate on it. Apparently it didn't take that long to get a hold of him.

A hit and run is bad enough, but leaving one of the easiest ways to find you is not too smart.
