Every week we get to highlight a local student who’s doing big things, and this one checks just about every box you’d hope to see in a “Most Valuable Pupil.”

Meet Reagan Soucy, an 18-year-old senior at Billings West High School. Reagan is the kind of student that educators love. In the classroom, she’s tackling a heavy load of AP and Honors courses while maintaining a 4.65 GPA.

That effort has earned her the #5 rank in her graduating class, which doesn’t happen by accident. Teachers say she brings focus, curiosity, and a work ethic that sets the tone for everyone around her.

Killer grades and an awesome athlete? You bet.

Reagan has been a major contributor to Billings West soccer and basketball programs, earning respect from teammates and coaches for her leadership, determination, and sportsmanship. Whether it’s practice, game time, or the offseason grind, she’s known for showing up ready to work and making the people around her better.

All of that dedication has paid off in a big way.

Reagan will take her game to the next level after graduation, having earned the opportunity to play Division I soccer at Southern Illinois University, a huge accomplishment and a testament to years of balancing school, sports, and life.

Reagan represents the classic student-athlete model: disciplined, humble, and committed to excellence across the board. She’s proof that hard work still matters, character still counts, and yes, kids today are doing some pretty amazing things.

Congratulations to Reagan Soucy, this week’s Most Valuable Pupil. We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next.
