Rimrock Subaru in Billings just dropped a seriously generous check—$21,000—to Family Service, one of the oldest and most impactful nonprofits in Montana. The donation is part of the Subaru Share the Love Event, where Subaru of America teams up with retailers across the country to give back. Since the program launched, it’s donated over $200 million nationwide.

Rimrock Subaru has picked Family Service as their hometown charity for several years running, and it's easy to see why. This local nonprofit has been lending a hand in our community since 1906. That’s not a typo—over a century of helping Billings families and seniors stay afloat with food boxes, emergency rent help, utility assistance, job readiness programs, and more.

Family Service helps thousands in the Billings area.

According to Family Service Executive Director Ryan Cremer, their team distributes more than 10,000 pounds of food every single weekday. That’s a lot of meals going to local folks who need them. In a press release, Cremer said, “We are so grateful, not only for this donation, but for all that Rimrock Subaru does for our community.”

An update on my Share the Love Event free tree.

Earlier this spring, Subaru's Share the Love program teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation to give away free trees. I wrote about it HERE when they announced the program, submitted my order for a free tree, and picked it up a month later at the dealership on 24th St West.

I was thrilled to plant my free tree and have been watering it regularly, watching it grow. Today, when I came home from work, I noticed that one of my silly dogs must have thought the tender sapling was a chew toy, because it was chewed in half.  😥😣 I'm hoping the remaining stub of the baby tree rebounds.
