The Billings Xtreme Took a Hit Saturday
As the weather warms up, so does the outdoor action. Some of that action? Football!
Last Saturday (April 2nd) was the season opener for Billings Xtreme Football.
The game kicked off at 2 p.m. at Daylis Stadium otherwise known as Wendy's Field. This year, I am the Billings Xtreme home stadium announcer.
The season opener brought the No. 1 seed in the Rocky Mountain Football League (Billings Xtreme) head-to-head with the No. 2 seed Great Falls Gladiators.
Both teams fought a good battle throughout the four quarters, but each and every quarter brought the Gladiators that much more into the lead.
When the final buzzer rang, the score was 24-7 with the Great Falls Gladiators winning the game.
It was a disappointing loss to start the season but it isn't over yet.
The Billings Xtreme have next weekend off and then head to Kalispell and Helena the following two weekends after that.
Their next home game will be April 30th at 5 p.m. as they take on the Idaho Mustangs at Daylis Stadium.
I hope you will be there to cheer on your home team.
