I've always wanted to run in and complete a marathon. I can't though because I have a condition that causes me to break out in hives whenever I do anything physically repetitive... over a long period of time. Jogging is one. Weedwacking is another if I use a gas weekwacker because of the vibration. It's really annoying because I like to run.

So unfortunately I can't run in this Sunday's Montana Marathon here in Billings. But if you lack my issues, you should definitely give it a try. Organizers are expecting nearly 1000 runners from all over the country to descend on the Magic City to enjoy our clean air and pump up the coffers of our local business.

Of course there'll be the standard 26.2 mile circuit which will begin in Molt, wind through Echo Canyon, down Rimrock Road, Shiloh Road and Poly Drive before reaching the finish line at Pioneer Park.

Don't be discouraged though because there will also be a half-marathon, a 10K and kids events so there will be something for runners of all shapes and sizes. Even if you're not an Olympic style athlete you can participate!
