Dick Fosbury To Light The Torch At The Big Sky State Games
Dick Fosbury, who revolutionized the high jump by winning a gold medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City while setting a then world record of 7 feet 4 1/4 inches. He was the first to jump over the bar backwards instead of forwards.
A native of Portland, Oregon the Olympic champion is going to honor Billings by lighting the torch at the opening ceremonies of the 30th Annual Big Sky State Games July 17th at Daylis Stadium.
