As we approach the end of the 2025-26 school year, time is running out for nominations for Billings' Most Valuable Pupil. A link to nominate your outstanding student is at the bottom of this article. One deserving nominee will win $1,000 cash to spend however they'd like, thanks to Gerstner Adam Law.

Carli Seymour is our latest MVP for several reasons.

The 18-year-old senior at Lockwood High School has maintained a 4.5 GPA while tackling honors and dual-credit college courses. That effort is paying off in a big way, as she’s set to graduate as valedictorian. Not too shabby.

Volleyball, Track & Honor Society

Carli has been a dedicated student-athlete, competing in volleyball for four years and track for three. And in true MVP fashion, she powered through multiple sports-related injuries along the way; if you're a "sports parent," you know how challenging this can be.

She served as junior class president and is currently the president of the National Honor Society, proving she’s just as comfortable leading her peers as she is excelling in the classroom.

Great grades and several jobs? You bet.

Carli has also been juggling multiple jobs, working at Intermountain Health, Soda Station, and Dehler Park. She still finds time to volunteer with Help for Homeless Pets and helps out in her church nursery.

Seymour is heading to Carroll College this fall, where she plans to double major in biochemistry and Spanish studies before continuing to medical school. She’s already joined the school’s Speech and Debate team.
