What Are you Truly Thankful For?
With Thanksgiving coming up this Thursday conversation always turn to what we are thankful for. As I pondered the question these last few days, I came up with a list of what I am truly thankful for.
1: My children, Triston and Bailey and their relationship with me as well as with each other. I love that they can laugh and share so much with each other and are best of friends (even though they sometimes fight) They are both tender loving children who I feel are very polite and respectful. I love the young man and young lady that they have become.
2: My husband Brett. We have been together almost 21 years, and over those years, we have grown up a lot together and have encountered many challenges (good and bad). I am thankful that he has been faithful and loving and supportive all of these years. He truly is my best friend.
3: My mom. Who isn't thankful for their mom right? I'm most thankful that I can still see my mom and talk to her and that 81 she is still independant and active (for the most part) I am thankful for the encouragement that she has always given me to move forward and be my own person.
4: I am thankful that I got to spend time with both my dad (John) and my sister (Angie) before they passed. I got to say goodbye and remind them how much I loved them. I am a better person for being a part of their lives.
5: I am of course thankful for our Freedom and all of the rights we have. Thankful for all of our Military and everything that they do and the sacrifices they make.
