Flakes Trip 2021

We too are working on putting together another Flakes Trip, and I don't know if we'll be able to get the job done.

This wraps up my post-Flakes Trip week. Hopefully, I've given you some insight about our fabulous week in me-HE-co!

I hate to remind you, but we are closer to the end of these trips than we are to the beginning.

Sitting with our travel agent, Carol, each morning by the lobby bar was how most of my mid-mornings got going. And residing in the jungle that weaves itself all the way through the resort, are Coatis.

Food selection and quality has come a long, long way from where it was when we first began taking these trips in 1996.

This year while spending time at Secrets Akumal I made sure to get plenty of pictures to document my week. And I'll post one each day this week and tell you a little about it.

There's just something about being on the beach with a cup of coffee watching the day start. And laugh at the things that run through my mind.

As I was staring out the window this morning thinking about all of the places that we've been on Flakes trips, I thought that there surely must be awesome spots that I haven't been to yet.

I don't know if I've ever needed a break from the job more than I did in December. While I was off I didn't watch one single newcast, local or national. It really did the trick. I was excited to get back to work. I'm thankful to have a job that I really enjoy.

It's been called "one of America's last great radio giveaways," and tonight the Breakfast Flakes gave one Cat Country 102.9 listener the chance to get out of the Montana winter for a week of fun and sun in Mexico.

I went through my kitchen drawers to see if I owned a potato peeler. I didn't. Fear not, my friends. One is on its way to Mark's house. One of my mottos is "Work smarter, not harder." That's why the "Rotato" is coming to my kitchen just in time for the holidays.

We finally have some answers for you about how and where we will give our trip to Mexico away. And we also have a place and a plan for Flakesgiving.
